Dove tail corner joints. Two ropes with wooden handles. I believe made of cedar wood. One side has a picture of the 1887 Morgan Silver Dollar head. The other side has the Eagle “tails” side of the Morgan Silver Dollar. The ends of the crate are stamped “1887” twice and “Property of U S Government Carson City Mint Nevada”. The lid has the U S Eagle seal on it. The graphics are all stamped into the wood as well as printed with ink or pigment. 16 ½ inches in length / 12 inches in height / 11 inches in width This is really a neat vintage crate. A great historical reproduction coin crate for use or display. Good condition.
