Description

Product Name: 9 Britains Herald Civil War Federal shops Infantrymen Advancing (plastic) circa 1957
Britains Herald painted plastic Union Civil War Federal Troop Infantrymen in advancing poses. All retired styles. 55 mm height (about 2.17”). All Made in England. Made about 1959. Condition is very good, though 2 soldiers' rifles are broken off above the left hand (upper muzzle and bayonet). Designed by toy soldier sculptor Roy Selwyn Smith. Great example of miniature figure modeling. Some paint flecks, which is expected on a 65 year old miniature Britains Herald toy that was played with by kids in the 1950s/60's. Marked shops “MADE IN ENGLAND” with the Herald Logo on the bottom of each stand. The Bugle Boy has an added “2” marking underneath. All 9 soldiers are included in this lot.
