This is a really beautiful vintage unframed landscape, watercolor by listed artist Eugene De Christopher. De Christopher was born in 1918 and is known primarily as a sculptor and designer, which makes this sweet vintage watercolor painting by him such a find! The painting is signed on the lower left hand corner and dated 1941. The painting depicts a beautiful autumn landscape in rural America. The painting is unframed and offers shops a little bit of a bonus as the back has another little landscape on the back. The painting measures 23 inches by 20 3/4 inches. There is some water damage to the top right hand side (see photos). Interestingly enough, the water damage seems to blend in with the overall design and color scheme of the painting. This is such a beautiful period watercolor from 1941 that evokes such nostalgia!.
