KG Schweinfurt Advertising. which is an acronym of "Fischer's Automatische Gusstahlkugelfabrik" or "Fischer's Automatic Steel Ball Factory." The calendar for the year 1990 is dedicated to the painter Hans Thoma, born in 1839 in Bernau in the southern Black Forest and died in Karlsruhe, a highly celebrated artist, in 1924. Thoma loved to call himself a realist, and he said of himself that his inspirations he received directly from the experience of nature. However, in the works dating back to his best period we recognize the influence of both Gustave Courbet and the pictorial environment gravitating around Wilhelm Leibl in Munich.
