If you choose OEM firmware you can rest assure that you'll get every bit of power that you need out of this router but if you are itching to push it to the edge or just need the power user features DDWRT will give you everything you want and shops more including VPN server support. Tomato router versions are great for people needing a mix of the two. Shops online charge exorbitant prices just add a firmware and make sure it works of course if you don't know how to do it it's understandable but to rake other people over the coals for something that they can be doing themselves to me is a terrible business practice so only charge just a tiny bit more so that my time is compensated and I don't mind follow up questions.
