From my sewing room....a beautiful coat I made from a vintage, hand sewn, hand quilted, thin filler, quilt. Features collar, open front and side pockets. Some mending done. From my sewing room...The patchwork overall jeans. Old Navy brand, size 14. Added patches of vintage quilt top wedding ring pattern. Patchwork was placed using stick & bond and then sewn by machine. Overalls are washed and ready to wear. Measurements: overall fit should be comfy. Inseam:27 1/2" Waist (taking flat): 19 1/2 " Hips(taking flat) 21 1/2" Crotch back from waist :16" Crotch front from waist: 12" Bust (flat shops across) 25 1/2" Length (shoulder to hem) 30" Shoulder to sleeve hem: 20 " As this is made from a handmade quilt that has already lived a full life, it is possible it shows its history in the form of slight discolorations and/or areas of wear. This gives it character and is a reminder of the life the quilt has lived, and are not viewed as defects.
