The Imperial Glass Co. was established in 1901 in Bellaire, Ohio by Edward Muhleman with production beginning in 1904 to 1985. The handmade glasswares were sold worldwide and usually made of press glass patterns. The Imperial Glass Co., known as the "Big I", was Located on 29th St. and offices located on Belmont Street, shops was one of the largest glass factories under one roof, establishing a legacy of skilled glassmakers. The Belmont location is now a museum known as the National Imperial Glass Museum established by the "National Imperial Collector's Society".
