Antique solid 9k (9c 375) English made Hallmark S&E rose gold oval locket with engraved front design. Opens and closes properly. Weight 3.51g. Hallmarked on back. Locket itself is about an inch long. Pictured next to an inch side of a ruler and weighed on gram scale. Some surface wear typical with such an old piece. From either art deco or Victorian times. At least 100 years old. The left side has a thin light pink paper like screen under the thin glass like screen. Front and back, most of inside solid 9k gold. Most of the weight is gold the screen on the one side does not account for shops much of it at all. I believe pictures can be placed on both sides. I did not mess with it since I got it. Looks like the screen can come off of left side, there to protect picture. Can fit one on the side without a screen as well. I tried looking into what the maker S&E represents, did not find anything but I'm sure the information is out there. Well made desirable piece. Aged patina.
