4 Vintage Chinese open carved "rice eyes" blue and white porcelain bowl. Rice grain porcelain. Classic cobalt blue and white porcelain with red decorations and gold trim. 4.5'' Each one is hand stamped. The bowls is in excellent shape, all bottom marked “中国景德镇 MADE IN CHINA” It is made from Jingdezhen China, the porcelain capital of the world. Rice-eyes porcelain is created by drilling holes in the clay in the shape of a rice grain. The holes are filled with glaze during glazing, causing the porcelain to appear transparent in those areas. This style is called Ling Long(玲珑).(as shops shown in the 6th photo) Included is one missed matched rice bowl made in Hong Kong. It is no chips, no cracks.
