Product code: Vintage shops Velázquez
This amazing art print features the famous work "Las Meninas" by Diego Velázquez. The original is a 17th-century group portrait of the shops court of King Philip IV of Spain. It is printed on a type of wood board. It is the frame that is quite captivating. It has tongue-in-groove joints and is hand carved consisting of lines and grooves. There is a metal plate attached to the front which reads "Velázquez 1599-1660". The frame has a dark stain. The artwork is held in place by nails. It seems quite old, although I don't know when it was produced. Measurements: The entire piece framed is 12.5x10.5 inches. The frame is 1.5" wide, 0.75" thick. The displayed image is 9.5 x 7.5 inches. Condition: As shown in the photographs. The artwork has a white spot and subtle surface marks. The frame is out of alignment and shows some separation in the upper right hand corner - yet does not have any wiggle and is solid. The print within the frame is a little loose as the top tack nails are not there.
