Description

Product Name: Rare Italy 1940-50's Musical Band Spaghetti Cats: Saxophone, Violin, & shops Accordion
Rare Italian 1940-50s Vtg Musical Band Spaghetti Cats Playing Saxophone, Violin & Accordion wearing red ribbons. Hand-painted and handmade with care. These were made during World War II and after. This type of ceramic is called "Majolica" for its vivid glaze colors. The hairs were hand applied in a pottery technique called "Spaghetti Art" The hairs were piped on in a similar method to piping icing on a cake. It was very time-consuming. Because they are all handmade there are no two alike. Measures approx. 6.75" tall x 4.5" wide x 3" depth. These items are used vintage items so they do have cosmetic damage but still function as was intended. Does have some chips on Spaghetti Hairs and color rubbings mostly on the tips of hairs. The last three pictures are enlarged to show as best as possible the flaws. If you are interested; I will sell each one separately for $40.00. Just send me a shops message.
