Rare find. Great display piece ANTIQUE GERMAN GSN GEBRUDER SCHMIDT JUNIOR MODELL #3 TIN TOY TYPEWRITER This is a unique toy typewriter! A 3.5-inch width piece of paper is first advanced into the carriage. A cylinder, with upper and lower-case English alphabet letters, is manually rotated to the desired letter. A lever is pressed, causing the entire carriage to move forward towards the cylinder, and the letter is printed onto the paper with inked typewriter ribbon. It has not been tested as there is no ribbon. Case has some rust and wear as it is 100 years old. Appears to be intact and functional but may need some realignmert/straightening. Lever that moves the carriage up and down is functional. Levers that advance the roller mechanism need some alignment work. The case does not fully latch.
