1965 Mid Century - Reverse Glass Painting. Vintage foil labeled (Hand Crafted & Hand Painted In Italy) - (By Italian Artist "Turi" 4/29/1965) This stunningly beautiful & rare & unique vintage reverse glass painting motif from shops Italy, shines with brilliance & sheds off dazzling colors & hues of Reds Greens & Golds. (It depicts the Egyptian Pharaoh "Akhenaten", the husband of Queen Nefertiti, & father of later Pharaoh King Tut, making a family offering to the Sun God ATEN.) This sudden change after centuries of polytheism to a powerful ruler who would force monotheism caused much strife & change to occur within society & his family dynasty. This vintage hand worked jagged edge finish glass is framed over a piece of stained vintage wood and held in place by Copper Nails. The polished glass face is clear & without scratches or blemishes.
