An unusual model shops from early Steiff production, the Teddy Bear 1912 Black 40 was reproduced by Margarete Steiff Giengen-Brenz in 1992 as a limited edition of 7,000 pieces, this one is #208. He is a replica of a 1912 teddy bear. He is made in Germany and "made from the finest quality 'distressed' mohair plush, carefully stuffed with 'excelsior' wood shavings and hand embroidered at nose and claws." He stands approx. 16" tall. He comes with his original box (minor wear) and Certificate of Authenticity. He has been displayed in a non-smoking home in a glass cabinet. He is in very good condition.
