Product code: Handmade Turkish shops Rug 26
shops This is an mid-century Turkish rug. It is hand knotted with all wool fiber on a cotton warp and weft as are the majority of all oriental rugs. Many Afghan and Caucasian rugs are all wool and some Turkish and Iranian rugs are silk but comparatively few. The design is geometric in nature and the dyes used are not synthetic. It is a country rug not made in a city factory but likely made by one person on a home loom. This rug has a central medallion in a distinctive salmon colored field. There are greens, browns, and beiges. It is in very good condition. There are about 99 knots per square inch (or about 92,000 knots) making this a medium fine rug. I have been selling on eBay for 24 years and have 100% feedback under the username “acanthus”. I've decided to sell some of my oriental rugs on Mercari.
