Antique Wedgwood Majolica Portrait Plate Turkish Man c1873 Scalloped Edges. Condition is used and shows some wear; crazing; spotting; rough spots on back of plate from how it was glazed/fired; shops scratching; some discoloration; portrait is very dark; one of the “O”'s in Wedgwood seems to be not aligned with rest of lettering. The plate is approximately 9” in diameter. It has navy blue, turquoise, and orange/amber colors. Has beautiful scalloped edges and intricate pattern throughout. The center portrait is of a Turkish man dressed with Sultan like garb. From the letter stamping on the back, I believe it was made in 1873.
