Product code: Oregon Briggs Junction Picture Jasper Pendant shops
This is a gorgeous, extremely large but lightweight pendant with all of the wonderful coloring and layers you come to expect from picture jasper. This one is amazing with so many intricate pictures; truly a lot of personalities and lives embedded within this stone. Animals too! Very intriguing piece--- even for picture jasper. There are some hints of blue incorporated here and there throughout this canvas of a stone. A remarkable statement piece!! It won't go unnoticed. Picture Jasper was made from low lying marshes and extremely shallow ponds that were flooded with bursts of lava that flowed through fissures in southeast Washington, and consequently, northeast Oregon. Since then , erosion from multiple flows of Colombia River Flood Basalts has exposed these jasper deposits within canyon walls. Unfortunately, for many many years mining had stopped at Biggs Triangle and only recently started back up some during the pandemic. Picture Jasper shops is incredibly grounding to the Earth itself.
