This is a set of 8 Parry Vieille plates . The plates date to around 1910 and were made by Parry Vieille Limoges in France. Each features a picture of sheet music from the opera it is depicting on the plate. A scene from each opera is to the left of the sheet music. Nice, intricate detailing and gorgeous coloration is present throughout each scene. Opera's shown are: Les Dragons De Villars, Le Chalet, Robin Des Bois, and Les Noces De Jeannette. Each plate is finished with a green and gold border and a wavy outer edge. Back of the plates are marked with "PV" in gold leaf lettering. These beautiful plates would make a great addition to any Limoges or music memorabilia collection!Very light wear is on each. 1 Plate has a very minor baby chip and shops another has 2 baby chips...I say "BABY" because they aren't noticeable unless you stare at the plate!!!!! They are still in incredible shape!!!!.
