Antique Mochaware checkerboard cup - 19th Century Yellowware brown ceramic cup. This type of utilitarian ware is often called mochaware, but unlike its English counterpart, this type of yellow bodied ware was made in Austria. The distinctive checked pattern was made by turning the piece on a lathe and cutting into the shops body. These date to the late 19th century Measures 3.25" tall In great condition with no chips or cracks. There is crazing as would be expected with a piece of this age.
