This beautiful and intricately detailed Madonna of Peace statue of The Virgin Mary is hand carved from maple wood and painted with oil based paint in a lovely variety of blended and lightly textured colors. Mary is shown standing and looking upon the baby Jesus cradled in her arms as he touches her hair. Their faces are so pretty. The design features gold plated accents painted along the edges of many of the lines throughout the sculpture. She is handmade from Western Germany and is wonderfully crafted by skilled shops woodcarvers. She measures 8" tall x 3" wide at her widest point, and is 2" deep.
