Up for sale is this very neat woodblock print, "Tea Ceremony," by Sadanobu Hasegawa III. Sadanobu was a very distinguished midcentury printmaker descended from a long line of printmakers. This artist primarily focused on traditional Japanese subjects, particularly Japanese theater, historical events and (like here) beautiful Japanese women. I believe this print was produced by the artist and distributed through the Uchida publishing company. I believe it dates to the 1950s. Print appears to be original to the 1950s as well. shops The print is in excellent condition. There are a couple spots of foxing in the lower fourth of the print, but no other issues. Frame shows scuffing consistent with age. Please see the photos. I'm happy to answer any particular questions about condition or provide additional photos. Visible area of the print measures approximately 9.5 inches high x 7.5 inches wide. Frame measures approximately 14.875 inches tall x 11.875 inches wide.
