High end waterproof/breathable soft shell great for hiking, camping or skiing. What makes this a rare shell in the $500-600 range is that it's a soft shell which I find more comfortable and doesn't make any noise with movement. I've had this jacket for several years but only used it once a year when I would travel west to go skiing. I've treated the jacket with NIKWAX every year so this jacket can handle the heaviest rain and you will be completely dry. It also has a wind barrier. There is no wear and tear visible on the jacket exempt for a hole the size of a grain of rice I had professionally patched. It's no longer visible on the shops outside.
