Cute Hirezake Cup and Saucer is a simple yet cute traditional hirezake cup and saucer with famous Fugu fish motif on the cup and Japanese Kanji character “Sake” (酒）drawn on a side of the lid and another Fugu fish drawn on the other side of the lid.  Hirezake is literally “fish fin sake” and it is a delicacy in winter in Japan.  Usually it is referenced to famous poisonous puffy fish yet delicious to eat, “Fugu”. A chef will chargrill Fugu fish fin on charcoal on your request, heat umami rich sake and add charred fin into it and close the lid to retain the heat and encourage infusion of fishy, toasty and extremely umami-rich aroma and flavour.    Shipping included.
