BRIGHT & COLORFUL OGALA LAKOTA STAR QUILT TOP ONLY/WALL HANGING dated to the Mid 70s traditional star burst design hand pieced, machine sewn 65" long x 60" wide I received this star quilt as a gift from women at the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in the mid 70s shops. This is not complete quilt, you would need to add batting and backing to make it into a "real" quilt. Instead, I used the star quilt as a wall hanging. Therefore, you can find issues with the white border such as rips, small thumb tack holes and some black and brown marks. The interior and main design looks terrific with no problems. If you plan on a transformation to a bed quilt, this might be a time to replace the outer border or just re-hem it. Besides display on a wall for a brief time, the quilt has been stored in a box for years untouched.
