Vintage RARE Farrington Jewelry Box Genuine Texol 1950's Blue 1800's Scene Man &. This is an a state find of a Farrington jewelry box. The color is a blue or seafoam green on the outside depending on the lighting. It's 10 inches long 6 1/2 inches deep and 3 inches tall when the lid is closed. There is no key in the locking mechanism works fine without it. On the inside there is a velvet or Valore lining to the bottom that's a light blue. And then there is a velvet or similar lining to the top which comes out that needs to be shops re-glued. And it has aged a little bit and looks yellowed compared to the bottom. My favorite part about this well working jewelry box is the image on the back I want a piece of satin or silk is a painted image of a man playing a stringed instrument to a woman in a gown. My guess is the image is supposed to portray the 1700s or 1800s. I have never seen one of these before this particular design is hard to come by. There are holes in the top tray of the jewelry box.
