Gorgeous heavy thick cased glass folded edge bowl or ashtray Unmarked, unsigned—probably lost its sticker over the years—very likely an Alfredo Barbini piece, Murano Italy, mid-century, although I cannot confirm its identity except through comparisons and shared characteristics with known Barbini pieces Blue outer glass with pink-peach inner glass—pink glass is infused throughout with gold flecks Approximately 2 1/2”inches tall x 6” x 5 1/2” Weighs 43 ounces (2 pounds 11 ounces) Smooth polished base Good shops preowned condition—has two notable chips, one on upper rim folded side (looks and feels like a burst bubble) and one on outer blue glass—both circled in photos Also has a couple of flea bite chips on unfolded side of rim, a smooth flea bite/flaw on upper rim on unfolded side, a tiny black dot inside the glass of the pink inner bowl, and a smooth bubble “flaw” on upper rim folded side—all imperfections circled in photos Please carefully review photos Thanks for looking!.
